2 way radio’s effective distance

Generally, communication distance within 2-3 km can be regarded as the short distance communication. 2.vehicular 2 way radio
50 watts / 40 watts emission power: urban 5-15 km, the open place 10-25 km;
25 watts / 20 watts emission power: urban 3-10 km, the open place 5-15 km;
10 watts / 5 watts emission power: urban 1-5km, the open place 3-8km.
